Trial FAQs

How do I prepare for my trial?

+

Review our Preparation Guide to achieve best results for not only your Wedding Day but your Bridal Trial too,

How far before my wedding should I book a trial?

+

Most brides book their trial about 2–3 months before the wedding. This gives you time to finalise details like dress, colours and accessories, so the look we create feels aligned with the day you’re planning.

Who will be doing my trial?

+

When you book with the Jessica Vegas Pro Team, your bridal trial is a design-led styling session, not a one-off appointment. Your look is thoughtfully created, refined and documented with intention — tailored to your features, your wedding aesthetic and how you want to feel on the day.

Every detail is recorded: products used, placement, techniques and preparation notes. This means your bridal look can be recreated seamlessly on your wedding morning, even months later, with the same level of precision and care.

Because your styling plan lives within our team systems — not just in one person’s head — you’re supported by consistency, communication and preparation. Your look is never dependent on memory alone, and never handed over without full context or clarity.

Each Pro Team artist is hand-selected and trained by Jessica to deliver the same elevated standard, calm presence and attention to detail. You’re always in expert hands.

If you’d prefer to have your trial with the artist scheduled for your wedding day, we’re happy to check availability and accommodate where possible.

How long does a trial take?

+

Allow around 1-2 hours for either makeup or hair, or 2-3.5 hours for a combined hair and makeup session. We don’t rush the process — this is where we refine all the details together and recommend not to schedule your trial for a date you have an event on or a firm finish time.

Can I try multiple looks at my trial?

+

Your trial includes one complete look. We can make tweaks and adjustments during your appointment, but full restyles or multiple looks aren’t included as they can impact your hair and skin’s condition and not give an accurate final result.

Who should attend my bridal trial, and what do I need to bring?

+

Bring your inspiration images (ideally 3–5 that you genuinely love), along with details of your dress, accessories and veil. It’s also helpful to share anything we should consider, such as sensitive skin, allergies, or past experiences with hairstyling or makeup.

For the most focused and enjoyable experience, we recommend attending your trial on your own. This allows us to design your look around your features, preferences and wedding vision without outside influence. Of course, if you feel more comfortable having one trusted person with you, that’s absolutely fine — we simply encourage keeping the space calm and supportive so the process stays true to you.

What if I change my mind about my look?

+

That’s the point of a trial. If something doesn’t feel right, we adjust it. Your feedback helps us refine your wedding day plan so you feel confident and excited. Your trial is a work in progress - your feedback is crucial to acheiving the look you want!
